Marijuana has unpredictable effects on our body's and our brains.  But, we do know that it has the ability to switch "on" our fight or flight mechanism, this same mechanism is involved in panic and anxiety disorders.

Sometimes marijuana will switch are nervous system into what's called sympathetic dominance.  When this occurs paranoia, anxiety, and panic attacks will occur.
Unfortunately, marijuana is not the only "trigger" for anxiety attacks.  Most people have other triggers such as strong phobias which also cause panic attack.
So, even if a person stops smoking marijuana panic attacks have a good chance of occurring again.  Of course, that's not good news.

But, here is some good news.  Because panic attacks are a nervous system disorder we can effectively treat panic attack with simple nervous system remedies.  There are plenty!
Many of these cures come from traditional cultures, natural medicine, and even religious traditions.  They are simply wonderful, because they treat the root cause of panic disorder.

Marijuana and Panic Attacks | Natural Cures That Ease The Nervous System
  • Do short juice fasts - 1 to 3 days, nothing longer.  This re-sets and repairs our nervous systems greatly.
  • Eat all of green vegetables and fresh fruits for their "yin" benefit - alkaline minerals.  These soothe the nerves.
  • Be sure to get enough protein in your diet - protein creates neurotransmitters like serotonin - 100 grams a day minimum.
  • Do repetitive exercise to burn nervous energy - walking, gardening, biking, jogging, and swimming.
  • Cut out nerve irritants: coffee, hard alcohol, refined sugar, white flour, and processed fats.
