Life can be overwhelming in its staggering scope and complexity and of course all the stress that goes with it no matter what your situation. Stress relief exercises are just a small portion of what you might need to navigate this jungle but being able to reduce your stress levels is quite important not just for avoiding frustration and general crappiness but also to keeping in good mental and physical health.

You see stress plays a major part in your well being and health beyond perhaps the obvious. Your immune system suffers when you are placed under stress making it easier to become sick and aggravating conditions you might already have. Not only this but your emotional and mental health can be negatively impacted as many conditions such as anxiety disorders and depression can be attributed at least partially to high stress levels.

Now this is not all doom and gloom and not everyone will have such a bad time with stress but it does give an idea on just how problematic stress can be in a person's life. So knowing this, incorporating some stress relief exercises into your daily routine can be a way to stay calmer and more relaxed as well as look after your body and mind. Here a few exercises for stress relief you can try.

Stretching
This is simple and can be done anywhere. Stretching can release tightened and tense muscles that might be just like this because of the stress you are under. This will not only make your body a looser by stretching muscle but actually has a knock on effect that makes the rest of the body and mind feel better.

Deep Breathing
Breathing OUT heavily then inhaling slowly to fill your lungs to the diaphragm and then back out again is a good stress relief exercise because it lowers the heart rate making your body slow down and heat up less. Make sure to take some time out and just de-oxygenate your body a bit by doing this and you will feel calmer and more in control.
